Who are we?
Since 2009 Energy Pool is pioneering in identifying and utilizing energy flexibility for grid balancing. Today we manage +7.000 assets, representing more than 6.000 MW of flexibility in +15 countries. We support governments, grid operators and businesses with our own Energy Management System, deep knowledge of energy intensive industries and knowhow to utilize this flexibility in benefit of the grid and our clients. Thereby we secure a reliable and affordable transition to clean energy systems.
What is our mission?
Our goal is to guarantee sustainable, reliable and affordable energy to the greatest number of people possible. Energy Pool supports commercial and industrial clients in managing their energy transition in an optimal way. From design to deployment and operations, we enable our clients to develop a future proof low-emission energy system. Motivated by the urgency of the climate crisis, Energy Pool has challenged itself to become 30 times more impactful in 2030 compared to 2020.
What is our role in the Netherlands?
The Netherlands is one of the frontrunners in the transition to variable renewable energy combined with electrification. Besides the benefits, this has resulted in grid stress, both congestion and imbalance are problematic. Energy Pool’s proven technology, experience and capabilities, developed in France, are now utilized in the Netherlands to support business in optimizing their local energy systems while providing their flexibility for grid services.
