Pasqal
PASQAL builds a full-stack quantum computer based on ordered neutral atoms in 2D and 3D arrays to bring a practical quantum advantage to its customers and address real-world problems.
PASQAL was founded in 2019, out of the Institut d’Optique, by Georges-Olivier Reymond, Christophe Jurczak, Professor Dr. Alain Aspect, Nobel Prize Laureate Physics, 2022, Dr. Antoine Browaeys, and Dr. Thierry Lahaye.
PASQAL has secured more than €140 million in financing to date, including a recent €100 million raise in January 2023.
Pasqal merged with the Dutch quantum algorithm company Qu&Co in January 2023 to build a pan-European leader in quantum computing.
The company recently sold two quantum computers to France and to Germany for on-premises installation at HPC centers in both countries. Named a 2022 Gartner Cool Vendor, PASQAL also recently announced a research collaboration with the University of Chicago.
To date, Pasqal has offices in 6 countries (the main ones being in France, Netherlands, and additional offices in Germany, UK, US, Canada), counts more than 150 employees and over 20 clients.
