MBS ranked in the Top 10 most committed Business Schools for ecological and social transition
MBS has moved up the ChangeNOW rankings and established itself as a leader committed to a sustainable and inclusive future.
On the eve of the 5th edition of the Rencontres du Développement Durable, Montpellier Business School (MBS) has distinguished itself by joining the Top 10 of the ChangeNOW ranking published by Les Echos, confirming its status as one of the Grandes Écoles most committed to the ecological and societal transition in France.
With a remarkable score of 122 out of 150, MBS has confirmed its commitment to integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into its programmes, its support for diversity through social inclusion schemes, and its research initiatives in favour of sustainable development.
Progress supported by a 360° strategy
MBS is committed to making CSR and sustainable development central elements of its teaching and essential skills for its students. In this way, teaching initiatives such as the ODD Challenge Hackathon enable students to develop skills for careers geared towards a more sustainable future.
In terms of governance, MBS stands out for its DDRS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) certification and its latest 2024 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Balance (BEGES), which focuses on initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint, notably through renewable energy, soft mobility and sustainable food.
A commitment to diversity and equal opportunities is also at the heart of MBS's DNA. Work-study and financial aid are backed up by international scholarships and a system of support tailored to students, such as funding for international students, disability grants and student employment opportunities on campus.
Active student involvement and a committed ecosystem of associations
Student associations play a crucial role in MBS's commitment. Five of them are entirely dedicated to actions in favour of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, giving students the opportunity to get involved in concrete projects that are valued in their academic career thanks to ECTS credits.
This strategy has enabled MBS to be included among the 60 institutions evaluated in this year's ChangeNOW ranking, demonstrating its ability to train future leaders committed to the challenges of sustainable development.
MBS, a player in the ecological and social transition on all fronts
To strengthen its leadership for sustainable development, MBS has reimagined its Act for Change programme of excellence. With a core of 45 hours of training on sustainable leadership and summer sessions focusing on coaching and mentoring, students acquire the leadership and innovation skills needed to tackle climate and social challenges.
Finally, MBS is extending its professional training offering with courses such as the ‘Référent RSE’ programme, which attracts professionals from a wide range of sectors.
Through these initiatives, MBS is confirming its status as an institution that trains committed leaders capable of meeting tomorrow's social and environmental challenges.
