A year to strengthen ties, encourage innovation and build a sustainable future together.

Did you know? The year 2025 will be dedicated to the economy between France and the Netherlands. A joint initiative of the French Embassy in the Netherlands and the Dutch Embassy in France, this Economic Year was announced at the bilateral consultations in April 2023. Running from January to December 2025, it will mark a key stage in the strengthening of economic and trade relations between our two countries.

By fostering strategic partnerships and developing innovative solutions, this year will accelerate Franco-Dutch cooperation and help us prepare a prosperous future together.

The programme for the first half of 2025

23 January – Technologies de pointe & IA (Amsterdam)

Meeting of the Key Technologies working group as part of the Franco-Dutch Pact for Innovation and Sustainable Growth signed in 2023.

French Tech & AI event: Presentation of French Next40/120 startups to Dutch companies, with La French Tech Amsterdam.

13 February– ATTRACT Agri-food lunch (The Hague)

A meeting between key players in the agri-food sector to develop partnerships and innovative solutions, with Business France Netherlands.

20 February – Energy in action (The Hague)

A day dedicated to innovations and partnerships in sustainable energy with the Regional Economic Service

27 March – Conference on economic security (The Hague)

Discussions on strategic issues for Franco-Dutch companies and economies with the Regional Economic Service

20-21 May – Hydrogen (Rotterdam) & Retail (Amsterdam)

Franco-Dutch Hydrogen Meeting (Rotterdam): Discussions on the future of hydrogen with Business France Netherlands, notably on the French Pavilion at the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition.
