Davidsbündler Feest
The Davidsbündler Academy celebrates its 3rd academic year with the Davidsbündler Feest on 14 and 15 June 2025.
The Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova and her husband, Nicholas Schwartz, a double bassist with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, founded the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague in 2022, shortly after the outbreak of the war with Russia. The academy offers intensive and innovative training to talented young pianists and string instrumentalists from around the world and provides scholarships to Ukrainian refugees and young people from underprivileged backgrounds.
Over the past three years, Anna Fedorova has also been an advocate for Ukrainian victims of the Russian invasion, raising funds for humanitarian organizations and performing with the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra.
"We feel that our mission as musicians, the mission of music, reaches its peak in these moments." – Anna Fedorova
SATURDAY 14 JUNE 2025
Que d’Amour!

The highlight of the Davidbündler Feest takes place at the legendary Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Anna Fedorova, Ellen ten Damme, and internationally renowned musicians present "Que d'Amour!" – a tribute to the legendary actor Pierre Richard, blending humor, beauty, reverie, and joie de vivre.
This festive evening will feature, among other highlights, the premiere of the Suite "Hommage à Pierre Richard", specially composed for the occasion by Ukrainian composer Borys Fedorov. This explosive suite traces the actor's career through six surprising acts, each representing an iconic, humorous, and endearing character.
Beloved melodies from the classical repertoire and French chanson (specially arranged for chamber music by Anna Fedorova and Dana Zemtsov) add a poetic and dreamy touch to the suite’s lively and comedic rhythm. A virtuosic combination of cabaret, cinema, and chamber music to celebrate one of the great actors of our time.
