On Thursday, November 22^nd, 2018 was held our Cocktail Pays de la Loire. The theme of the evening was:

“The industry of the future: the ideal platform to conquer new markets”

As an introduction, Mathieu Kahn, Head of the Economic Department - French Embassy, and Olivier Bouillé, Senior Trade & Investment - Business Franc e, gave several reasons on why to invest in France.

Having a straight forward “pro-business agenda”, a strong industrial power and being the leading European country in aeronautics, France offers numerous assets for investors. And what could better illustrate it than Western France (Pays de la Loire)?

Mainly known for its castles, its wine and its famous race “24h du Mans’’, Western France still has a lot more to offer as Nathalie Garry, International Project Advisor – Agence Régionale Pays de la Loire exposed us.

The 3 main assets of this region which counts a ¼ of the Dutch population are:

It the 3^rd French industrial region and has the highest factory creation since 2006. Many contractors and operating companies have chosen to settle there and it’s, already, home of 70 Dutch companies amongst which are Heineken, Denkavit and Koppert.
It is a land of innovation and opportunities. Indeed, the regional government chose to foster innovation by investing (by 2022) 253 million euros. The city of Laval is the capital of Virtual Reality with the Laval Virtual Event which welcomed, in 2018, a Dutch delegation of 6 companies!
Western France has an ideal localisation: European capitals can be easily reached and there are direct shipping roads to more than 400 ports.
